中国海域双锥芋螺属Conasprella (Gastropoda, Conidae) 近似种的比较研究

Comparative Study on Conasprella Cones and Related Species in Chinese Sea

摘要: 本研究描述比较了双锥芋螺属 Conasprella的欧氏芋螺Conasprella orbignyi(Audouin, 1831)以及其近似种龙王芋螺 Conasprella ichinoseana (Kuroda, 1956), 昏芋螺Conasprella comatosa (Pilsbry, 1904), 郝伍德芋螺 Conasprella hopwoodi(Tomlin, 1936), 柳斑芋螺Conasprella longurionis (Kiener, 1847)和南方芋螺Conus australisHolten, 1802之间的形态差异, 报道了郝伍德芋螺Conasprella hopwoodi和柳斑芋螺Conasprella longurionis在国内的新分布地点。通过几何形态学对这些易混淆种进行分析, 对欧氏芋螺 Conasprella orbignyi, 柳斑芋螺 Conasprella longurionis, 郝伍德芋螺 Conasprella hopwoodi, 南方芋螺 Conus australis的外轮廓的几何形态进行主成分分析, 揭示了这4种芋螺在外轮廓上的差异。进一步的典型变量分析的结果显示, 外轮廓的几何形态对这四种芋螺有良好的判别效果, 其中南方芋螺 Conus australis和欧氏芋螺 Conasprella orbignyi的判别正确率高达100.00%和92.86%。选用体螺层螺肋和螺旋雕刻作为Ⅱ类地标点, 对柳斑芋螺Conasprella longurionis, 郝伍德芋螺 Conasprella hopwoodi的体螺层螺肋的几何形态进行主成分分析, 发现前者螺旋部更高, 体螺层更宽, 基部距离更短, 体螺层各个螺肋之间距离更宽; 而后者螺旋部低, 体螺层更窄, 基部距离更长, 体螺层上各个螺肋之间距离更窄, 为区分这两种相似物种提供了新的鉴定方法。进一步的典型变量分析的结果显示体螺层的地标点对极易混淆的柳斑芋螺和郝伍德芋螺具有良好的判别效果, 正确率分别是87.50%和88.89%。

Abstract: We describes and compares the morphological differences among species within the genus Conasprella, specifically focusing on Conasprella orbignyi (Audouin, 1831), and the species which is similar to Conasprella orbignyi, including Conasprella ichinoseana (Kuroda, 1956), Conasprella comatosa(Pilsbry, 1904), Conasprella hopwoodi (Tomlin, 1936), Conasprella longurionis (Kiener, 1847) and Conus australis Holten, 1802. We also report the new distribution locations for Conasprella hopwoodiand Conasprella longurionis in China sea. Geometric morphometric methord was applied to study the shell shape differences of these related species, and principal component analysis was conducted on the shell outlines of Conasprella orbignyi,Conasprella longurionis, Conasprella hopwoodi, and Conus australis revealing distinct differences in the outlines of these four cone shells./t/nFurther canonical variate analysis demonstrated that the shell outlines effectively discriminations between species, with Conus australis and Conasprella orbignyi showing high identification accuracy rates of 100.00% and 92.86%, respectively. By selecting spiral ribs and spiral sculptures on the last whorl as landmarks II, principal component analysis of the spiral ribs and the spiral sculptures on the last whorl for Conasprella longurionis andConasprella hopwoodi indicated the former exhibited a higher spire height, wider the last whorl, shorter base, and wider distances between the spiral ribs on the last whorl; the latter showed a lower spire height, narrower the last whorl, longer base, and narrower distances between the spiral ribs on the last whorl. The study provides a new method for distinguishing these two similar species. Further canonical variate analysis results indicated that the geometric morphology of the last whorl landmarks effectively discriminates between Conasprella longurionis and Conasprella hopwoodi, with accuracy rates of 87.50% and 88.89%, respectively.
