Abstract

Traditional contour plotting method may have big errors in studying regional variables, due to linear interpolation. In this study, we use nonlinear interpolation and triangle mass point interpolation methods, which can greatly improve the fitting precision over the traditional contour plotting method. The new contour plotting method is validated using marine geological survey data, and the verifying result is satisfied.
