南海北部近岸海域Jason-1卫星高度计与浮标观测结果的对比分析*

Comparison of Jason-1 satellite altimeter and buoy measurements in the coastal water of the northern South China Sea

摘要: 对比分析了2010年10月—2011年7月期间Jason-1卫星高度计与南海北部近岸海域3个浮标的风、浪观测资料, 结果表明, 在南海北部近岸海域, Jason-1卫星高度计与浮标的观测结果有较高的一致性, 但卫星高度计观测的有效波高整体上比浮标观测的有效波高偏大, 而风速具有低海况时偏大、高海况时偏小的特点。卫星高度计与浮标观测的有效波高、风速的差异受两者之间的距离影响显著, 随着距离的增大, 有效波高、风速的样本对分布的离散程度增大, 两者的相关系数逐渐减小, 而平均偏差和均方根误差逐渐增大。

Abstract: Based on the data measured by three buoys and Jason-1 satellite altimeter in the coastal water of the northern South China Sea (SCS) from October 2010 to July 2011, the sea surface wind speed and significant wave height (Hs) from the buoys and Jason-1 are compared. The results indicate that Jason-1 data is in good agreement with the buoy data in the coastal water of the northern SCS. However, the altimeter data has a tendency to overestimate Hs, overestimate the wind speed in low sea states, and underestimate it in high sea states. The discrepancy in the Hs measured by altimeter and buoys is greatly affected by the distance between them; as the distance increases, the dispersion of Hs becomes larger; the correlation coefficient gradually decreases, and the bias and the RMS gradually increase. These results also hold for the wind speed.
