Abstract:

In this study, the karyotype of Mugilogobius chulae was firstly reported. The examined materials are metaphase of the early embryo cells prepared by the colchicine-hypotonic-air drying technique. The results showed that M. chulae has 2n=44 diploid chromosomes and the karyotype of 2n=10m+10sm+4st+20t with its fundamental arm number (NF) =64. Neither the polyploidy chromosomes nor the sex chromosomes were found, and there was no visible evidence of the satellites.
