The radioactivity level of gross beta in sea water near Daya Bay Nuclear Power Stations from 2005 to 2010

摘要: 分析大亚湾核电附近海域2005—2010年海水总β放射性的空间分布特征和年际变化趋势。结果表明2005—2010年该海域海水总β放射性水平范围为0.029—0.073Bq·L-1, 平均值为0.051Bq·L-1。2005年以来该海域海水中总β放射性总体上呈缓慢升高趋势且在本底范围内波动, 但与其他海域相比仍然处于较低水平, 核电站排水口附近海域海水总β放射性水平最高且变化梯度显著, 这与排水口排放的低放射性污染物随潮流逐渐扩散有密切的关系。研究为今后科学、合理地评价核电站运行对海洋环境的影响提供了历史资料。

Abstract: This paper introduces the spatial and temporal distribution of gross beta radioactivity in sea water around Daya Bay Nuclear Power Stations from 2005 to 2010. The gross beta radioactivity in the sea water ranged from 0.029 to 0.073 Bq·L-1 with a mean of 0.051 Bq·L-1. The gross beta radioactivity increased year after year during 2005-2010, but was still in the normal range in 2010 in terms of the background level standard; in fact, it was in a lower level compared with those at other China sea areas which has nuclear power stations. The gross beta radioactivity in the cooling water ejected area was higher than in other areas nearby due to diffuse. This research offers important data for evaluating radioactivity around the coastal nuclear power station of Daya Bay, and also has some significance for preventing radioactivity pollution and protecting the environment of the sea.
